A new addition to the GP5000 family a tubeless-ready All-Season (AS) model. The GP5000 AS offers maximum protection in all-weather conditions, complementing the already established GP 4Season as a tubeless alternative.
 
Features
  • Tubeless: Continental patented carcass construction is robust and impervious against damage from foreign objects. The result : versatility, lower weight and a super-attractive design. With this design, tyres can be used both tubeless or with an innertube. 
  • BlackChili Compound: Nano technology used to produce the carbon black particles that are used to reinforce the rubber compound. Continental refine special synthetic rubbers with natural rubber to create high performance tread mixtures. Taylored for the needs of the each tyre, in this case, more wet grip!
  • Lazer Grip, to make you one with the road. The lazered micro profile structure expands over the tire’s shoulder and provides outstanding cornering.
  • Vectran™: The benchmark in puncture protection Vectran™ is a synthetically manufactured high-tech fibre from a natural model. Like spider silk, Vectran™ is a liquid-crystalline polymer (LCP). Vectran™ is spun from the melted liquid polymer Vectra and processed further to a multi-strand thread. Spider silk like Vectran™ has an enormous tear resistance at a very low weight: Exactly the right properties to process into a premium Continental bicycle tyre as a puncture protection insert. A Vectran™ Breaker is lighter, more flexible and protects more effectively against cuts than the comparable nylon breaker. Vectran™ Breaker does not adversely affect the rolling resistance.
